Having had bad neck and back pain I have had some Alexander Technique sessions with Mireille and the effect has been brilliant. I have become aware of the tension in my neck and have learnt how to lengthen and release my muscles and using the semi supine position has allowed me to relax and the pain has decreased. With all the techniques Mireille has taught me the pain has reduced but within the last couple of weeks I have had no pain at all for the first time in five months, even with all the horse riding and horse care I have been doing, I have been completely fine. I highly recommend you give the Alexander Technique a try. I was sceptical when asked to give it a go, but it is brilliant, very relaxing & very helpful for releasing all the tensions of life. After my surgery for a fractured vertebra, the 6 day intensive Alexander Technique course with Mireille was a god send. Not only did it give comfort and relief at the time but since then I have been able to draw on the experience to manage my discomfort. I am sure that even after full recovery the techniques will allow me to use my body well! While Mireille’s regular blogs and Facebook posts are useful to the general public, after having some sessions they become pertinent reminders of techniques learned. I can’t wait until Mireille can fit me in for another course.
