In my last 5 posts I’ve been introducing you to the ridiculously easy power of checkins. You have all 5 check-ins of my suggested starter set now!
Which are you going to choose to keep working with? I suggest a 3 week commitment to give it all a chance to start making a real change (and I’ll help you stick to it – link at the end)
A reminder, you have:
- The shoulders
- The jaw
- The lower back
- Free breathing
- The armpits
When I work with clients I always suggest a layering up approach, so even if you like all of them, pick ONE to start with.
This can either be the MOST IMPORTANT thing to you e.g your back if you have pain there, OR the MOST ACHIEVABLE thing to get you started e.g. your jaw because it’s clear and easy to know when you have let go of tension there.
THEN revisit your choice about when you are going to practice (remember the suggestions I gave you at the beginning?) If its just when cleaning your teeth, that’s absolutely fine – twice a day is way more than nothing!
If it’s a more frequent e.g after each client appointment, or every time you sit down at your computer, then that’s more of a commitment – make sure you have post-its or phone reminders, whatever you need so it actually happens.
How did you get on with remembering when you were trying out each check-in?
Practising this skill of checking in should feel like a muscle you are building. So if you find you start skipping them or forgetting, then revise your choice of place/time or up the reminders! Don’t just let it drift off your radar.

How I can help
I will be checking in on all of you in 3 weeks, but if you would like some INDIVIDUAL support/accountability then get in touch!
Let me know which check in you have chosen, and where and when you have decided to practice it. I’ll see how you are getting on with it in 3 weeks with a personal email.
If it’s going great I’d love to hear of course. But if it isn’t then I also want to know – I can help you troubleshoot or revise your choice to something that will work for you. Don’t worry that I might be disappointed – I help people build these skills all the time – and it always comes with some hiccups along the way!
If you aren’t sure what to choose or how to do your check-in I can help you with that too.
